For us, printing is an act of love, it’s what we leave behind for younger generations. Just as we treat every single photograph with care, we also have a duty of care to the environment.
PhotoSì Loves the Planet was born from the need to keep printing more emotions with zero impact. We are succeeding in doing so thanks to actions that offset the inevitable ecological footprint of our work. Our actions are in several areas:
Eliminating CO2 produced by shipping
To guarantee fast but sustainable deliveries, we are offsetting emissions produced by shipping through a reforestation project with a high social impact. In collaboration with zeroCO2, we have planted 1,280 trees in Guatemala for use by the farmers who live there.
We use eco-friendly packaging
To protect your orders we have chosen ecologically-friendly paper packaging that’s long-lasting and recyclable. We have eliminated 80% of plastic components to date, and the target is to be plastic-free by the end of 2023. Change requires time, but we’re working hard towards it.
We are using energy from renewable sources
To print your photos with the same quality as always, we produce 30% of the energy used through our solar panels. We plan to reach 60% by 2025.
We contribute to the conservation of forests
FSC® international certification (FSC-C187693) is confirmation of our firm commitment to the environment.
The FSC label on PhotoSì’s Prints, PhotoBooks, Calendars and Cards certifies that they have been made with raw materials sourced from a supply chain that respects responsible forest management, in compliance with strict environmental, social and economic regulations. There’s no news greener or better than this!

1. How have we calculated the number of trees to plant?
With a scientific study. Thanks to zeroCO2, we have estimated the amount of carbon dioxide that PhotoSì produces in a year and then rounded it up, seeing that more trees is always better. The result from these complex calculations was a total of 1,280 trees.
2. Did you know that Prints are more eco-friendly than digital photos?
This is all because of the Cloud. Storing your photos on the digital platform is not without a cost. To ensure that files are stored for years in the memory requires numerous machines that use a lot of energy.
